Food Resources in the Soledad and Monterey County Area
October 30, 2025
Dear Soledad Unified School District Families,
You may already be aware that as soon as November 1, 2025, CalFresh/EBT benefits may be temporarily affected due to a possible lapse in federal funding from the government shutdown. Soledad USD is closely monitoring the situation and will keep families informed of any updates.
Most importantly, school meal programs are not affected. All Soledad USD students will continue to receive free breakfast and lunch at school, as well as snacks during ELO-P after-school programs, regardless of any lapse in CalFresh/EBT benefits.
We understand this uncertainty may cause concern for some families. To support those who may experience challenges purchasing food, we have compiled a list of local food resources available throughout Soledad and Monterey County.
