Supporting Our Students & Encouraging Attendance

Posted Date: 2/01/25 (:09 AM)

Dear Soledad USD Families,

We understand that there is ongoing conversation about a possible “Day Without Immigrants” on Monday, February 3rd, in response to current developments in immigration enforcement. We recognize the deep concerns that many in our community may feel, and we want to affirm that Soledad Unified School District remains committed to providing a safe and welcoming environment for all students and families.

While we respect the personal decisions of our families, we want to encourage students to attend school on Monday and each school day. Every day of learning is valuable, and our schools are a place where students can feel supported, engaged, and connected with caring educators. Our focus is on ensuring that all students have access to the education they deserve, regardless of the challenges happening outside of school.

As always, we are here to support our families. If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to reach out to your child’s school. Thank you for your continued partnership in your child’s education.

Sincerely,
Randy Bangs
Superintendent
Soledad Unified School District
